The A80 Toyota Supra didn't need the Fast and Furious to be famous. The twin-turbocharged 2JZ-GTE produced 320 horsepower in Japanese domestic spec, revved to 7,000 rpm, and drove through a Getrag six-speed gearbox so well-engineered that modified examples have since run over 1,000 horsepower on the original block. Road & Track gave it Readers' Choice performance car of the year. It earned that.
The RLC Exclusive has it in Spectraflame blue — the right colour for a car this composed. Real Riders five-spoke wheels, detailed interior, chrome chassis. The 2JZ following has only grown since production ended in 2002, and this casting is a correct homage to why. No Japanese performance car of its era has a more loyal following, and none has held up better to scrutiny.
