Description
The 1987 Buick Regal Grand National GNX is a car that should not exist. Buick was GM's personal luxury division — the marque for Electra 225s and LeSabres, for doctors and retirees. The GNX was built in partnership with McLaren Engines and powered by a turbocharged V6 that put 276 horsepower on paper and considerably more in reality. Motor Trend tested it against a Ferrari Testarossa in late 1987 and the GNX won. Buick built 547 of them and never made anything like it again.
This release pairs the GNX with Run The Jewels — El-P and Killer Mike, two of the most critically respected rappers working — and Volcom, rooted in the overlap between action sports and music culture.
