Description
The Willys Gasser is one of the defining shapes of American drag culture — a pre-war body lifted on a front axle to transfer weight rearward at launch, nose-high and deliberately unbalanced, built to cover the quarter-mile with nothing held back and no concern for what comes after. The 1941 Willys coupe became the preferred body for this treatment because its proportions exaggerated perfectly under the modification: short, boxy, and visually aggressive before a single part was changed. Strip the interior, raise the front, supercharge the engine through the bonnet, and the Willys becomes something that communicates intent from fifty metres away.
The 2022 RLC Holiday Car takes all of that and wraps it in full chrome — a finish that should look incongruous on a drag car and somehow works completely, the supercharged engine breaking through the bonnet in metallic silver, the seasonal detail applied with the same straight face the rest of the casting demands. Released exclusively for Red Line Club members as that year's holiday collectible. Real Riders wheels, full chrome body construction. Sealed and as new in original packaging.
