Description
The 1968 Plymouth Barracuda was the first year of the second-generation A-body — finally its own car, no longer based on the Valiant platform of its predecessor. The new body was longer, wider, with a fastback roofline that swept from the roof to a large rear window in a single continuous arc. Chrysler's designers gave it presence without the raw aggression of the Charger or the intimidation of a 440-powered Road Runner. The Custom designation covered equipment and trim packages that elevated the interior while keeping the performance hardware intact.
