Description
The 1993 Ford Mustang Cobra R was not a car for show. SVT stripped out the back seat, the radio, and the air conditioning, left the paint white, and delivered 107 of them to approved racers with paperwork proving intent to compete. The performance gains over a standard 5.0 were modest — the point was the intention. This was Ford drawing a line between cars built for the street and cars built for the track.
Hot Wheels RLC's convention version is the opposite of restrained: pink-on-pink ghost flames, the first RLC convention car to use that treatment, released at the 2024 Collectors Nationals in Atlanta as a membership-only drop. Convention cars are among the most collected in the RLC ecosystem. 2 units at Factory 64.
