Description
In 1989, Nissan arrived at Le Mans with genuine intent. The R89C was their Group C prototype — a 750 horsepower machine wearing the bold white, blue and red livery that would define Nissan's international motorsport identity. Car No.23, shared by Masahiro Hasemi, Kazuyoshi Hoshino, and Toshio Suzuki, represented Japan at the highest level of endurance racing at a moment when Japanese manufacturers were beginning to assert themselves on the world stage.
