Description
The word "Countach" is Piedmontese slang for astonishment. Marcello Gandini designed it at Bertone in 1971 and the reaction hasn't changed since. The LP500 S — the 1982 evolution — brought wider guards, a more aggressive rear wing, and the five-litre V12 that gave the name its final form. It was the car on every bedroom wall for a reason.
