Tarmac Works Global64 — Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III HK-Beijing Rally 1996
The 1996 Hong Kong-Beijing Rally was one of the most demanding events in Asian rally racing — a long-distance mixed-surface event covering thousands of kilometres through China. Ari Vatanen and Christian Gilbert took overall victory in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III, adding to the Evolution's already remarkable competition record. Vatanen was a World Rally Championship legend who had driven for Peugeot and Mitsubishi at the highest level; the Evo III was the machine carrying Mitsubishi's factory ambitions against Subaru's dominant WRC programme. Winning Hong Kong-Beijing was a significant statement from both driver and car.
Tarmac Works has produced this release as a full rally replica with decals — the complete Hong Kong-Beijing livery on the Evo III in correct 1996 presentation. Official Mitsubishi licensing. Factory 64 holds 5 units only, committed pre-order with delivery anticipated November 2026 per supplier schedule. Five units of a specific rally-winner tribute is a genuinely scarce allocation — the kind of release that sells before it arrives.
